Microsoft's Internet Explorer 3.0+ and Netscape 3.0+ support 140
discrete named colors. It should be noted that use of these color names is
browser specific, so display by other browsers will be unreliable, unless the corresponding
#rrggbb triplet value is used instead.
This page showing the 140 possible discrete named colors supported by the Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer (when employing Style Sheets). Colors sourrounded by a pair of * characters are also supported by other browsers for all elements that support coloring. It should be noted that, these color names are not supported by other browsers and their display would be unreliable, unless the #rrggbb value is used instead. NOTE: The colors shown cannot be guaranteed. Due to resolution/color depth differences of different Windows video drivers, colors may appear different on either the author’s system or the end user’s system. This should be considered when using any color in documents. |
